This Privacy Policy explains how Kridam Technologies (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Guru Bandhu mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). Guru Bandhu connects teachers with schools and teaching job opportunities. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account & profile information. When you sign in with Google or with an email address, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and Google account identifier. Teachers may also provide details such as subjects taught, years of experience, qualifications, and preferred locations. Schools provide institutional details used to post and manage job openings.
• Location information. With your permission, we access your device’s approximate and precise location (coarse and fine location) to show teaching jobs and schools near you. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; if you decline, you can still select your city manually.
• Job & application activity. We store the jobs you view or apply to, applications you submit, and, where applicable, exam or assessment activity you complete within the Service.
• Device & diagnostic information. To keep the Service reliable, we automatically collect technical data such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and error logs.
• Usage information. We collect aggregated, privacy-friendly analytics about how the Service is used (for example, pages visited) to understand and improve performance.

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To show relevant teaching jobs and schools near your location.
• To let teachers apply to jobs and let schools receive and manage applications.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
• To diagnose crashes and technical problems.
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With schools and teachers. When a teacher applies to a job, the relevant profile and application details are shared with the school that posted it, so it can evaluate and contact the applicant.
• With service providers who process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards, including:
  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting;
  • Google — sign-in and account authentication;
  • Sentry — crash reporting and error diagnostics;
  • Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
• For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We retain and use information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

• Access and correction. You can view and update your profile information within the app.
• Account and data deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us at kridam.technologies@gmail.com. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.
• Location permission. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We operate from India, and your information may be processed and stored on servers located in India or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
